Moss signed a two-year deal with the Bengals last offseason. He opened the year as the starter but his role eventually started to shrink. He then suffered a broken neck in his eighth game and was placed on injured reserve, ending his season. The Bengals restructured his contract in the offseason, giving him a chance to make the roster with a strong showing in training camp. That didn’t materialize and Moss is now looking for his fourth NFL team in as many seasons. The move clears the runway for rookie Tahj Brooks to back up Chase Brown. Brooks is competing with Samaje Perine for that role, but Perine has become mostly a third-down back at this point in his career.

Keefer added that Richardson showed off “some improved accuracy.” When it was reported that Richardson would miss some time in the offseason with his lingering shoulder injury, it looked all but certain that Jones would run away with the starting job. Richardson wound up fully cleared for the start of camp and, as Keefer notes, both quarterbacks had sloppy starts. Richardson has since turned things around, closing the gap between himself and Jones entirely. It’s anyone’s guess as to which quarterback will take the first snap this year, but things are trending toward Richardson at the moment. Despite his passing woes, Richardson remains a fantasy QB1 when he starts because of his elite rushing ceiling.

As Kaye notes, it’s we’re only one week into camp and Coker missed some time early in the offseason with a soft tissue injury. Still, it’s not a great sign for Coker’s spot on the roster. Kaye ominously added, “The Panthers are going to need to make some tough cuts at the position, but if Renfrow keeps this up, he’s going to force younger players off the roster.” Xavier Legette is getting run at the Z receiver spot in camp with Tetairoa McMillan at X. That leaves Renfrow and Adam Thielen to duel it out for the slot role. Coker is on the outside looking in. A 2024 UDFA, Coker shone as a rookie with nearly 500 yards in 11 games. Despite the strong showing, he appears to be fighting for a spot on the 53 in camp.

It’s yet another season-ending injury for a Dolphins corner after just one week in camp. Kohou will join fellow corner Artie Burns on injured reserve for the 2025 season. The Dolphins also had safety Ashtyn Davis go down with a foot injury earlier this week. The severity of the issue is unknown, but he was later spotted on crutches and with a walking boot. Kohou appeared in 15 games and was credited with nine starts last year. He broke up eight passes and stole two interceptions. The former UDFA is set to hit free agency in 2026, making the timing of the injury that much worse.

Fowler specifically said, “It’s an early season return and Week 1 is possible.” Likely went down in practice on Tuesday and head coach John Harbaugh told reporters he is expected to be out “a few weeks.” Fowler’s reporting makes the injury sound more significant, though we’re still well over a month out from Week 1. Likely was set to push Mark Andrews for work out of the gates, but the lost practice time will almost certainly prevent that from happening. He could still increase his role as the season goes on, but fantasy managers should plan on him continuing his high-end backup duties to start the year.

Curl left the Rams’ practice early with a lower leg issue while Forbes exited with a hamstring injury. Head coach Sean McVay indicated there would be more clarity on the defensive backs’ injuries later this week. Curl has started 69 of 76 career games, including each of his 16 games played in his first season with the Rams last year. An absence from him would dent the Rams’ secondary on the back end. Forbes played in two games for the Rams since arriving from Washington last season and is behind Ahkello Witherspoon and Darious Williams as depth at cornerback. Derion Kendrick and Cam Lampkin would see more opportunities if Forbes missed a part of training camp.

Head coach Todd Bowles announced yesterday that Otton had tweaked his hamstring early on in camp. Tuesday marks his third straight practice missed as the Bucs look to get their starting tight end healthy. With WR Chris Godwin (ankle) still working his way back, snaps over the middle of the field are open for the taking in training camp. Rookie Emeka Egbuka and backup tight end Payne Durham look to get more opportunities as Otton gets healthy; there is no timeline for his return, but no indicator the injury is serious enough to put Otton at risk of missing any regular season games.

Hendrickson’s contract saga is still not over as both sides have yet to agree to a deal. However, the 30-year-old has decided to report to Bengals camp, according to Schefter. He was placed on the reserve/did not report list to start camp, making his holdout official and resulting in $50K of fines per day. The fines will now stop as Hendrickson hopes to jumpstart negotiations with the Bengals once again. The two sides are no closer to a new contract, but Cincy has resolved rookie Shemar Stewart’s dispute. The front office can now devote its full focus to Hendrickson, who is the final NFL holdout to end and wants a deal closer to the top of the market for edge rushers.

Hairston, a first-round pick of the Bills in this year’s draft, went down with a non-contact injury to his right knee in training camp practice. He walked off the field under his own power, accompanied by the team’s trainer. The Bills gave no update on Hairston, who is competing for the starting cornerback job opposite Christian Benford. The 21-year-old is at risk of losing valuable training camp snaps as the Bills look to reinforce their secondary.
